Well done to St Peters U16 Girls who overcame Round Towers Clondalkin by a score of 6.6 to 3.8 to reach the Division 4 Championship Final .

Round towers Condalkin started quick and took the 1st score, St Peters settled and scored 2-2 with no reply. They were unfortunate not to be further ahead with Sarah Valentine getting herself into great position but RTC goalie and the cross bar kept it out. Edgy 1st half with only a goal in the difference at the break 2-4, 1-4.

With a little reshuffle at the break Aoibhin Malone came out of defense and took command in midfield alongside Jenna Boylan. The pair were instrumental in winning kick outs and setting up scores for Molly Dunne, Pheobe Macken, Sarah Rose McElvaney & Grace Miller.

With 10mins left on the clock St Peters looked to have won the game leading by 10points, but RTC were not done they came on strong , it took a solid defence to hold out. Aoibhin Lynch in goal pulled of a super diving save to stop a certain goal and heroics from Emer Clery ,Heidi Macken, Lucy Rogers and Grace Walsh kept RTC out.

Special mentions to Sophie Murtagh & Kayleigh Jordan who covered every stick patch of grass in the Clann Mhuire pitch.

It was a great team effort and the girls look forward to their final on 12/11/2023 v St Anne's

Venue to be confirmed.

Well done to the girls and coaching team.
